Job Overview:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the hotel's security operations to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of security officers.
- Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and monitor performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Address disciplinary issues and implement corrective actions.
- Security Operations:
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control systems.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.
- Guest Services:
- Assist guests with security-related concerns or requests.
- Provide a welcoming and secure environment for all guests.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional manner.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential security risks and implement preventive measures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
- Stay informed about current security trends and threats.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Prepare reports and statistics on security incidents and activities.
- Manage the department's budget and resources.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security guard license or certification.
- Previous experience in security management or supervision.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and regulations.
- Physical fitness to perform duties, such as patrolling and responding to incidents.
