Hotel Maintenance Technician

Compensation: 17.00-17.50

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Aloft Charlotte Ballantyne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel maintenance, possess excellent technical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance tasks and repairs throughout the hotel facilities.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment and systems.
Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance.
Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain inventory of tools and equipment, and coordinate with suppliers for necessary materials.
Adhere to safety and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
Engineer must be able to drive the shuttle for our hotel guests.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a hotel or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-focused with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

Education and Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant certifications in maintenance or a related field are a plus.
