Job Description

Job Overview:

Benne's by Peninsula Grill is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Café Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service at our vibrant café. As Manager at Bennes's, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, staff management, and guest satisfaction. If you have a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and enjoy leading a dynamic team, this position is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service during PM shifts.
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service
  • Assist in the resolution of customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage and support café staff, including baristas, servers, and bartenders in their daily tasks.
  • Assist Director of Food & Beverage with scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure the consistency of food and beverage quality in line with café standards, monitoring food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, including opening and closing tills, processing payments, and managing daily reports.
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement promotional activities and maintain the café’s visibility within the community.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within the café, restaurant, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, especially coffee and specialty drinks.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and proficiency in cash handling.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
