Supervisor Spa

Job Description

The Amara Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the spa, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service. This role involves supervising staff, scheduling, spa reservations, guest services, maintaining the spa boutique, and promoting spa offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Staff Supervision:
    • Train, support and supervise spa staff, including spa coordinators and other relevant personnel.
    • Assist the Spa Director with performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to improve staff performance.
    • Create and manage spa staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage. Attend weekly labor meetings and assist Director with forecasting.
    • Assist in finding coverage for staff call-offs
    • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly.
  • Guest Experience:
    • Greet and welcome guests to the spa in a warm and professional manner.
    • Assist guests with booking appointments, answering questions, and providing information about spa services and products.
    • Check guests in and out of spa, making sure that the register is balancing.
    • Open/ close the spa following Amara Spa procedures.
    • Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Ensure a clean, relaxing, and inviting spa environment. Responsible for aiding spa attendants when needed.
  • Operations:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the spa, including scheduling appointments, spa boutique sales, assisting the Spa Director with retail inventory, and maintaining equipment. Use Alice App to notify maintenance for timely repairs/ issues.
    • Keep track of spa supplies and follow the reordering protocol.
    • Monitor and control labor and expenses to maintain profitability.
    • Create, implement and maintain spa policies, training and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Sales and Marketing:
    • Promote spa services and retail products to increase revenue.
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients.
    • Use the Beekeeper system to communicate and promote the spa’s culture.

Qualifications:

  • One year experience working in a spa, salon or wellness clinic with knowledge of spa treatments, products, and techniques.
  • Previous hospitality, spa or retail supervisor experience preferred with strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel objects or telephone.  The employee must regularly lift ad /or move up to 10-25pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
