Job Description

Job Summary:

The Barback plays a vital role in supporting our bartenders and ensuring guests receive exceptional service. This position involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, restocking supplies, and assisting the bar team in providing a seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Bartenders: Assist bartenders with preparing drink orders by restocking glassware, garnishes, and other bar essentials.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the bar area clean and organized, including wiping down surfaces, removing trash, and ensuring all equipment is in proper working order.
  • Restock Supplies: Regularly check inventory levels and replenish as needed, including liquor, mixers, ice, and other bar items.
  • Assist with Deliveries: Help with the receiving and storing of bar stock and supplies, ensuring accuracy and proper rotation.
  • Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and attentive presence for guests, assisting with requests and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the bar and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise.
  • Adhere to Standards: Follow all health, safety, and hotel policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
