Night Auditor 

Department: Front Office

Reports To: Director of Guest Services

Job Overview:

As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight hours. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including financial reconciliation, guest services, and system maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reconciliation:

o Balance daily revenue and expenses.

o Reconcile guest accounts and credit card charges.

o Prepare and analyze daily reports.

o Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Guest Services:

o Check in and check out guests.

o Assist guests with inquiries and requests.

o Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.

o Provide excellent customer service.

System Maintenance:

o Update and maintain hotel systems and software.

o Troubleshoot system issues and errors.

o Back up and secure important data.

Security:

o Monitor security cameras and alarms.

o Conduct regular property inspections.

o Respond to security incidents as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting, preferably as a front desk agent or night auditor.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
