Director of Security
Compensation: $95,000 to $110,000 per year
Job Description

The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing all security operations at the hotel. This includes physical security, personnel security, and emergency preparedness. The Director will develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property.
Responsibilities
- Security Operations:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Oversee the daily operations of the security team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement and other relevant authorities.
- Investigate security incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Physical Security:
- Manage the hotel's access control system, including key card access and surveillance systems.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and fire suppression systems.
- Conduct regular security patrols of the property to deter crime and identify potential security threats.
- Personnel Security:
- Develop and implement Team Member security awareness programs.
- Investigate reports of Team Member misconduct or theft.
- Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive emergency response plan.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and training exercises.
- Coordinate with local emergency services to ensure effective response to emergencies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in security management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Strong knowledge of security systems and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Valid security guard license (if required by local regulations).
