Senior Event Services Manager

Job Description

The Manager of Event Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning, coordination, and execution. This includes collaborating with clients, and ensuring seamless operations to deliver exceptional experiences. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in event management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision and goals.
    • Develop comprehensive event proposals, including timelines, budgets, and floor plans.
    • Coordinate with various departments (e.g., catering, housekeeping, engineering) to ensure seamless event execution.
    • Oversee event setup, breakdown, and logistics, including room layouts, equipment rentals, and vendor coordination.
    • Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, hire, and train event coordinators.
    • Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor team performance.
    • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Client Relations:
    • Build strong relationships with clients and maintain open communication.
    • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
    • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Develop and implement efficient event management processes and procedures.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
    • Continuously improve event services to enhance guest satisfaction.
    • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures, as well as local regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event management, or a related field.
